BIO: Carolyn j Morris, Railfence Books
Carolyn j Morris’ country roots began on the McQueen family farm on
the 10th Line of the old Nottawasaga Township in Ontario. Having
taught in both Toronto and rural communities for thirty-five years,
Morris is no longer in the classroom every day; she focuses her energy
on reaching more families by visiting libraries, bookstores, elementary
schools, and senior residences. Her passion for storytelling reaches the
young and old alike. In the spring, Morris takes her chicks or ducklings
along on her author visits.
Carolyn j Morris has written four Spruce Valley novels, set on the farm
and enjoyed by all ages, but it’s her Railfence Bunch children’s books
that are all the buzz! The adorable and curious characters, Chick and
Duckling, have an adventure in each of Morris’ eight children’s books.
Carolyn j Morris lives in Beeton with her family and, from time to time,
Carolyn J. Morris writes stories that show respect for rural living and farm life. She is gaining a reputation for sharing her country roots through visits to Seniors Residences, with her baby chicks and ducklings and various speaking engagements.
